I spotted the Stream Deck on the show floor in one of your videos. Is there a Companion module for the TriCaster?
ASKED BY · Unknown · 21 SEP 2026 · ▶ 00:49:33
Yes, there are Companion modules for both the Stream Deck and a brand-new one-rack-unit IP box. Stream Deck integration allows grouping multiple control systems together, giving operators unified control over TriCaster and other devices from a single interface.

49:33Correct. Yeah. So there's ones for the Stream Deck itself and then also for companions on the button side of the world, especially the brand-new One Rack unit IP box. I got the preview of that one at NAB this year, and I had that singing in under five minutes. It was really slick, really fast, and just whatever I wanted to throw at it, it was just
49:51pulling information straight from the TriCaster. And then yeah, you can do that on the Stream Deck side of the world as well. And what's really cool in the Stream Deck is now you're grouping different elements together. So now I can have the Stream Deck, I can control the lights, I can control something else, and the TriCaster too, because I can assign each button to do something different.
50:09I'm just dragging that over. So there's a lot of cool workflows there, because now I've got one panel that's talking to multiple different systems. I mean, I think when you started saying about having multiple operators in a way, I was thinking about just even a producer that has a multi-view in front of them and they want to choose, they won't want to change that multi-view, that could just be a series of
50:31buttons in front of them and they can just hit that and it triggers the TriCaster to change the output of the multi-view and now they've got it and they've got the control and they can choose exactly what they want to see is a good use case of that. that not just about what is going out to the world, but even what we're using for monitoring, right?
50:49Yeah, and then even with our API string with the NDI router that we have and even others have developed as well, where now you're controlling what those feeds are gonna look like, secondary or tertiary, even in the entire workflow, where now I'm routing NDI signals around to various locations but even go back to the shotcasters and eSports arenas and what they wanna look at.
51:10So they're giving themselves a completely different interface and a different look because of how they want to call from their side of the production versus what's being sent for broadcast in an esports arena. So there's a lot of cool workflows here where you're basically dealing with four or five independent systems years ago that now it's all running through one system. Now I've got four or five different looks depending on who's going to control what different part and piece of the ecosystem.
51:36So good. Good. We haven't exactly kept to the 15 minutes that we were thinking that we were going to. But I'm thoroughly enjoying the conversation. Yeah, okay. Well, as long as you're okay, we'll push through with a couple more of these questions. Courtney, did you wanna add something on this one? I was just, I was gonna ask about the Stream Deck integration
51:57and just one question related to that, if it supports Companion, does, you mentioned the macros that you program in the TriCaster Mini. many. Can the Stream Deck then call up the macros from the TriCaster? Yeah. So when you have that set up, so inside the profile, you're going to call out that macro. So once the Stream Deck connects to that specific TriCaster, then it'll connect
52:19up and then send that out. Very nice. Even better. All right. Next question. My son just happened to come in and grab something as I'm trying to give him the eyes of like hey i'm on a call i'm live hey never fails thanks one comes in once again from uh jeff keithley from uh texas of course uh when will we be able to run tricaster mini s software
