I have an older Asus gaming laptop originally recommended for vMix streaming. It still runs Windows 10 Enterprise and works well, but it isn't Windows 11 compatible. What are my best options for continuing to use it safely with vMix?

THE PANEL'S ANSWER
Courtney

TPM bypasses exist to upgrade Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 11; check Paul Thurrott's articles at therott.com. Asus gaming laptops often have NVIDIA GPUs which work well with vMix. Alternatively, keep Windows 10 Enterprise patched for security; vMix still runs fine on it.

52:34It still runs Windows 10 Enterprise and works well, but it isn't Windows 11 compatible. What are my best options for continuing to use it safely with vMix? this is the challenge with windows and microsoft has decided that certain computers are not going to be allowed to upgrade to windows 11 because they must have certain hardware-based uh support for the new trusted computing platform or whatever it is cordy what are your thoughts on this

53:03yeah there are tp workarounds out there that the trusted com or tcp or whatever they call it the the trusted computing platform requirement for Windows 11 that you can get around. So do some research there and see if you can run one of those bypass to get you to upgrade to Windows 11. Paul Therott, I think, did a couple of articles on this.

53:25So go to therott.com, T-H-E-R-O-T-T dot com, and take a look there because I think he covers the ability to upgrade. And those Asus gaming laptops, I've had some, and they're great. They have a lot of times I'll have an NVIDIA separate GPU in there. So it'll work well with vMix that are written to support the NVIDIA drivers. So take a look at that.

53:54You can still get by with Windows 10 Enterprise. It'll still run fine. It'll run almost all the, I think the vMix software will still run fine on it. You know, you don't have to worry about vulnerabilities. So just keep it patched with the latest security stuff. And, you know, they're not going to be releasing very much more security stuff for Windows 10 Enterprise.

54:16But see if you can bypass that setup and go ahead and upgrade it to 11. All right. Next question. Tony Mobley is up next from Ninnan, Georgia. Has there been a conversation about Muse? not on this show that i'm aware of i think that's the new facebook ai right is it not correct yeah it's uh uh so meta came out with a uh agent called meta muse and uh so far it's been doing
