I have two Sony PTZ cameras. One is an NDI-HX2, the other is an NDI-HX3. Is it okay to use NDI output from both cameras together as inputs to vMix, or should I capture them with SDI?

Mixing NDI-HX, NDI-HX2, and NDI-HX3 outputs together in vMix is fine if your network is configured properly, though SDI is more reliable if available.
Use the NDI-HX3 as the primary camera since it has better quality than the HX2; both formats can work together in a pinch but SDI is more reliable.

20:38do wonders with it. So worth checking out if you want to play with it. Next question. All right, this one's from Harold Williams in Portsmouth. I have two Sony PTZ cameras. One is an NDI-HX2, the other is an NDI-HX3. Is it okay to use NDI output from both cameras together as inputs to vMix, or should I capture them with SDI? Chris Abato.
21:04So setting aside any mail configured network, yeah, sure, it's fine. There's no issues. I have productions with NDI, full NDI, NDI HX, NDI HX2, and NDI HX3. They all play together as long as your network is configured appropriately. that being said if SDI is an option I find SDI more reliable if you can do it but yeah go for it David? The only thing I'd add too is use the HX3 camera as primary
21:41and the HX2 is kind of like the cutaway camera only because of quality differences between them but other than that give NDI a try and then also coming in the chat sdi will be better but if you have to in a pinch using both formats you can get away with it next question all right this is one of my questions does anyone
22:02know who the cinematographer was for the apple keynote last week shot an iphone 18 pro but this year it looked noticeably better much better color and contrast lighting thoughts on the production Bill Davis. Well, I don't know who shot it. I know that Apple has an entire team that has been working on these for a long time. And they're just continuing to improve.
