Igor Golyak, a Boston based director, confronted with limitations imposed by the pandemic and a drive to keep the lights on, sought to transform theater. We’ll learn how this creative dynamo harnessed technology to discover exciting ways of affecting and involving audiences in participatory, even collaborative, feats of theater. . . and found new ways to bring the art to non-traditional audiences (Chekov for gamers). BirdDog Cameras, NDI, Isadora–technology we’re all familiar with, pressed into service to deliver an innovative experience.
Igor Golyak is the founder and producing artistic director of Arlekin Players Theatre & Zero Gravity (zero-G) Virtual Theater Lab.
